Handcrafted 'Autumn beckons' Spalted Alder Clock – 300mm Wide
£95.00
Out of stock
This clock brings a beautiful slice of the British countryside right onto your wall. Cut from a piece of spalted alder, the face features an incredibly detailed image of a large, windblown beech tree—originally photographed in the northwest of the Shropshire Hills—paired with a skein of geese taking flight across the grain.
What makes this one extra special is the character of the spalted alder itself. The wood has these striking, natural dark lines and unique marbling running through it, which completely changes tone from top to bottom. It naturally looks like a dramatic, overcast sky hanging over the landscape. At 300mm wide and 22mm thick, it's a great mid-sized piece that adds a warm, rustic feel to a kitchen, hallway, or living room without overwhelming the space.
The Details
Dimensions: 300mm diameter x 22mm thick
The Wood: Spalted alder, chosen for its warm, golden-honey base and the unique dark marbling created by nature.
The Design: Features a real-life windblown beech tree from the Shropshire Hills and a skein of geese, alongside slim, dark wooden hands that blend beautifully with the landscape imagery.
The Movement: Fitted with a high-quality, quiet mechanism so there’s no distracting ticking sound.
The Finish: Smoothly sanded and sealed to enhance the fine details of both the artwork and the wood's natural grain.
Good to Know
It arrives ready to hang and runs on a single standard battery. To keep it looking its best, just give it a light dust with a dry microfiber cloth every now and then.
Note: The plastic display stand isn't included, and that little £1 coin down in the corner is just there to help you picture the size!
